INGREDIENTS
Distilled water, sucrose 24%.
 
INDICATIONS
Baby SACCAROSIO 24% is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for the dietary treatment of infant in situations that can cause pain and consequent crying.
 
USAGE
Before proceeding with any operation that may cause crying, pour the quantity of drops on the tongue according to the medical prescription, taking into account the weight of the child.
A pacifier is usually offered before and after the administration of Baby Saccarosio 24%.The procedure can be repeated within 24 hours every 5 minutes, up to 8 times for physiologic infants and 4 times for premature infants.
 
 Dose recommendations in relation to the weight of the child

Weight <1,5 kg	4 drops (0,20 ml)
Weight from 1,5 to 2 kg	6 drops (0,30 ml)
Weight from 2 to 2,5 kg	10 drops (0,50 ml)
Weight from 2,5 to 3 kg	20 drops (1 ml)
Weight > 3 kg	30 drops (1,5 ml)

 
IMPORTANT NOTICE
To be used under medical supervision in hospital. Not to be used as a sole source of nutrition. Not for parenteral use. At recommended doses Baby Saccarosio 24% does not modify blood glucose levels.
 
CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Intolerance to fructose
• Suspected enterocolitis
• Atresia of the esophagus
• Esophagus-tracheal glands
